Admit your sinful nature and desire to turn from it and be delivered from the judgment it brings.  As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. (Romans 3:10).  For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  (Romans 3:23).

Acknowledge what Christ did for you on the cross and by His resurrection.  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.(Romans 5:8). That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  (Romans 10:9).

Accept Him as the only way of obtaining eternal life.  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9).  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  (John 14:6).

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. (Acts 3:19). For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  (Romans 10:10).

Appropriate His gift offered to you.  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  (Romans 10:9-10).
