Gatewood Baptist Church
Women's Ministries
Thank you for your interest in Women's Ministry at Gatewood bapitst, Garland. Our desire for you is to know Christ 'intimately', build relationships ith other women on this journey and experience the joy of serving the Lord together. Get involved and let us do as Hebrews 10:24-25 instructs, by gathering togehter and encouraging one another. The Women's Ministry is designed for women of all ages to know that she in uniquely gifted by God to glorify Him. It is our desire for women to find a place to study the Word of God, connect with other women in our church and community for His glory, and equip them to use the gifts God has given them.
This year we are becoming intentional about learning to discover and understand God's purpose. When we review our past, assess the present, and continue to walk han-in-hand with God, we are embarking on a journey worth pursuing. Life is too short to be lived unintentionally. My prayer is that God would move among our women and not allow one person to leave here the same as she came.
MONTHLY S.A.L.T. (Serving and Learning Together) FELLOWSHIP
The Second Thursday of each month, our ladies host a itme of fellowship in their homes and often in our church fellowship hall. We come together for sharing one another's burdens, a season of prayer, games, devotion and refreshments.
BI-WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY
We are currently studying the life of David, using "Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed" bible study and DVD's. Beginning in April, our study will be a verse-by-verse study in the book of James.
Through Christ's redemptive work, we have been reconciled to God. God exercised 'grace' toward man who was in enmity because of sin. Jesus Christ washes our sin away, an dstarts transforming our lives through the power of hte Holy Spirit. He begins healing our broken lives through the power of the Holy Spirit. He begins healing our broken lives from sin, then gives us the 'ministry of reconciliation'. As we reach out to others by declaring the gospel to them, they can also be reconciled to God. We then become teachers, training and discipling the young converts to love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, and might. We do have a purpose in life, and that is to become intimate with the Living God and reach out to others in the art of 'unselfish living'. Live life intentionally.
